Skin Talk: Genelle Seldon

This beauty vlogger is one busy girl. With acting, singing and You-Tubing a part of her routine, it’s no wonder Genelle Seldon’s skin feels the stress! We catch up with the newly converted LA resident and talk all things skin.

Tell us about yourself, who you are, what makes you unique? We’d like to get to know you.

Hello Dr. Dennis Gross tribe! I am Genelle and I am a YouTuber, actress and singer living in sunny LA.

Why is good skin so important to you?

I dealt with a lot of skin issues in my late teens.  This affected my confidence so greatly and at one point I felt hopeless.  After overcoming the major skin issues, I was left with some scaring and redness.  My skin is so important to me because I believe if your skin looks and feels good, then you look and feel good!  Your skin is the first thing people see and it gives you confidence to face the day!

Do you have a favorite Dr. Dennis Gross product? Tell us why!

The Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel Pads are HANDS DOWN my favorite product.  Whenever I am traveling, stressed out, or it’s that time of the month, I always end up with a little friend (zit) or few!! Whenever I use the peel pads it dries up the pimple and is gone within two days!! I carry one in my purse and several in my travel bag for use on the go. This incredible product is also added into my weekly skin regimen.

Do you have any insider tips when it comes to your skincare regimen?

The first thing that I always say is drink water, but most importantly eat a clean diet.  This includes raw and cooked veggies, plant based proteins and milk and cheese alternatives.  Drinking water is a must for all functions of the body BUT eating well, I think, is something that might be a little bit hard for everyone.  Being born and raised a plant-based vegetarian, I can say that sticking with veggies and whole grains has made a massive difference. Also, do not forget to cleanse and moisturize your face, neck and chest, morning and night.

What’s your Top 5 ‘can’t-live-without’ beauty products?

Moisturizer, tea tree oil, coconut oil, mascara, concealer.

What are the biggest changes you have seen when using our skincare?

Not only has it helped with my breakouts, it has also helped with climatizing my skin to new environments. I have only been living in LA for 3 months and it is so dry and hot. Coming from Michigan, where we have a lot of moisture in our air, LA certainly wreaked havoc on my skin. I love the products from Dr. Dennis Gross because they always give me back the perfect amount of moisture so my skin is protected, and isn’t flakey and dry from the city pollutants!

Would you call yourself a peel addict after trying our peels?

I’ll say it again… I’M HANDS DOWN A PEEL ADDICT.  While on the road, I would freak out if I was running low on my Alpha Beta Peel Pads.  I would always have to stop in the express section of Sephora and grab the travel pack.  They have made their way into my weekly routine and must-haves videos on YouTube!
